ANN ARBOR, MI — Plans for a 154-unit senior housing complex in Ann Arbor are headed to the City Council for approval. The city’s Planning Commission voted 8-0 Tuesday night to recommend approval of the Balfour Senior Living facility proposed at 2830 S. Main St., at the southwest corner of South Main Street and Oakbrook Drive. The estimated construction cost is $35 million. Balfour proposes to construct a four-story, 182,996-square-foot senior housing building with underground parking. The building would consist of 97 independent living units, 38 assisted living units, and 16 memory care units. Internal sidewalk connections would link the building and parking areas to both Oakbrook Drive and South Main Street.
