Over 400 New Homes Planned Across Escambia. Here’s What the County Greenlit in September
According to Pensacola News Journal, Escambia County’s Development Review Committee (DRC) approved plans for eight different subdivision projects during September that range in location from Cantonment to Warrington.
The projects will lay the groundwork for just over 400 homes to be created across the county. Warrington will be the biggest benefactor with two subdivisions approved for the area.
Here’s what we know about the residential development projects that were approved and issued development orders from Escambia County.
Carrington Valley
Construction plans for the development of a new subdivision named Carrington Valley were approved by the DRC on Sept. 11 for Cantonment.
The project will create a 146-lot subdivision off Quintette Road with two new roads: Home Street and Village Way. Carrington Valley will be developed using a 145.6-acre parcel that will be connected to Quintette Road using both of the new roads.

David Fitzpatrick, founder of a local civil engineering firm, is the listed owner/developer of the project in its approved site plan.
Eight on Olive
Eight new townhomes will be built in Ferry Pass as part of the Eighte on Olive subdivision project, which got its final plat plans approved by the DRC in September.
The project is planned for the corner of Carl Dean Street and East Olive Road using an approximately 0.68-acre site. No new roads are planned as part of the Eighte on Olive development.
In their preliminary plat plans the subdivision was planned to be named Atwood Place and it received a development order last year. Developers then filed their final plat plans with Escambia County in April and got approval on Sept. 4.
