A smooth landing for Richmond American Homes as recent land acquisitions spell success for many years to come.

Richmond American Homes, a subsidiary of M.D.C. Holdings, Inc.™, has been constructing homes of high excellence since the 1970s. Their leadership, diligence and prowess to adapt have given them the stability to withstand the vicissitudes of a ceaselessly evolving industry. These qualities, along with a persistent concern for operational excellence, will continue to set them up for success for many years to come.

In 1972, Larry A. Mizel founded Mizel Development Corporation with a scant amount of money and a vision. It wasn’t long after that M.D.C. Holdings, Inc., a parent company to Richmond American, would grow to an estimated $5 billion business and become one of the predominant companies in the homebuilding domain. Having reached his dream with the few resources he had to facilitate his success, Mr. Mizel is a prime of what can be accomplished with a resolute confidence in our own ambitions.
Just like any successful homebuilder, Richmond American Homes is expanding to more markets outside of the ones it has already established. In March of this year, Richmond American Homes of Florida subsidiary attained property in Oakridge Landing in North St. Johns. The project will consist of 92 lots and is currently in the process of being developed. It is anticipated to open in early summer.

Richmond American will make available a selection of pleasing floor plans sized from approximately 2,250 to 3,400 finished square feet, or the ideal size for most family homes. The homes also offer design options since Richmond American does not believe in cookie cutter homes. The homes, starting from the mid $200s, will feature 3 to 6 bedrooms and residents will appreciate abundant amenities including a community pool and a cabana. At this time, the community is not in a community development district and homebuyers will not have to pay CDD fees.

Richmond American’s most sought after Dillon model will be available for public viewing amid the community’s grand opening. Standard features include a gourmet kitchen with upgraded birch cabinets, granite countertops with a 4” backsplash and GE® stainless-steel appliances, a deluxe master bath with a separate tub and shower and ceramic tile flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms.
