Epcon Communities Franchising, Inc. (Epcon), the nation’s premier real estate builder of lifestyle-rich communities for home buyers looking for single-story living and no longer interested in spending their weekends doing yard maintenance, has just introduced the American Porch Collection, a new line of classic American homes with covered porches at the front of the home that encourages home owners to meet their neighbors and offers additional space to entertain friends.
“These homes are a modern twist to a previous era of homebuilding, with home designs intended to promote neighbors interacting more frequently so they can relax and ‘stay awhile’,” says Tim Rini, VP of Epcon Franchising. “These home models also provide greater diversity in the Epcon product line to broaden what is available to our Franchise Builders around the country.”
The new American Porch Collection home models were unveiled at the company’s national conference in early February in Columbus, Ohio, where housing experts and Franchise Builders gathered to also celebrate important Epcon milestones of 30 years in homebuilding and 20 years of franchising.
Epcon is the only homebuilding franchise company dedicated to building 2-bedroom, ranch-style homes nestled within low-maintenance communities. These types of homes are extremely popular with the 55+ housing buyer, a demographic that Metrostudy predicts will account for 52 percent of all new home sales for the next several years.
“As we celebrate our 30th year in homebuilding, we look to a very promising future serving a growing and underserved market niche,” adds Epcon co-founder Ed Bacome. “The demand for the style of homes we build among this segment of the population has never been greater, and we have a 30-year track record of meeting and exceeding the needs of these homebuyers.”
