David Weekley Homes is the largest privately-held homebuilder in the U.S. and has sold more than 75,000 homes in the company’s nearly four decade history.
The Houston, Texas-based company currently conducts home building and sales activities in more than 301 communities in 19 markets across the nation. Each city is led by an area president or division president responsible for selecting preliminary sites in new communities, monitoring lot completion, planning the home building schedule, obtaining all necessary permits and constructing, selling and closing the sale. Project managers, who work for the division presidents, are responsible for day-to-day sales, as well as construction and warranty operations.
