De Blasio selects developer for mixed-use complex in the Bronx

The de Blasio administration has selected developers to build a large, below-market-rate housing complex with an emphasis on energy efficiency on a 30,000-square-foot site in the Bronx. Trinity Financial and MBD Community Housing Corporation will collaborate on the project at 425 Grand Concourse in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, mayoral spokesman Austin Finan said. The administration is expected to publicly announce the winner of the competitive bid on Thursday.

The 300,000-square-foot development will include 241 apartments that will be rented to tenants earning between 60 and 100 percent of the area median income — $46,613 to $63,700 for families of three.
