FOREMOST COMPANIES’ TERRAMOR WINS MASTER-PLANNED COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR AT 2018 SOCAL AWARDS

Foremost honored for the thoughtful design and planning of its new multigenerational, master-planned community

NEWPORT BEACH, California (October 30, 2018) – Foremost Companies is proud to announce that Terramor, its multigenerational master-planned community in Temescal Valley, has been recognized as the Master Planned Community of the Year at the 2018 SoCal Awards presented by the Greater Sales & Marketing Council and BIA of Southern California.

“We created Terramor to be an outstanding place for residents and it’s a great honor to see that being acknowledged by our peers in the industry,” said Steve Cameron, president and founder of Foremost Companies. “The SoCal Awards reflect the dedication our team showed during the planning of Terramor, from incorporating nature into everyday living and providing active lifestyle amenities for all our residents including two stunning recreation centers and miles of trails.”

The Community of the Year award is based on design and sensitivity to natural or created environments, design appeal, creative use of space, materials, amenities, architectural continuity, landscape design and signage, and community site planning.

Distinct new home collections are available at Terramor for a mix of both 55+ and all-age buyers, offering terraced lots and incredible mountain views. The 961-acre property is approved for 1,443 single-family homes and will be developed in three phases. Phase One includes six neighborhoods, four of which are specifically dedicated to 55+ buyers. Builders include CalAtlantic Homes A Lennar Company, KB Home, and Del Webb, which are actively selling; and Van Daele Homes, whose neighborhood is under development.

“We had the lofty goal of creating a destination that’s more elevated than anywhere else in the Inland Empire and to do so in a way that’s fresh and engaging for homebuyers of all ages,” said Satish Lion, vice president of community development at Foremost Companies. “Named for its love of the land and inspired by its breathtaking views, the community embraces and complements the landscape, with a variety of parks and trails, as well as 540 acres of preserved open space, including the natural riparian habitat.”

Providing walking and hiking opportunities for adults and families of all ages, Terramor brings nature and active living to the forefront, with over five miles of trails and paseos that connect to a broader trail system. The trails showcase gorgeous, rolling terrain and picturesque views, while providing the convenience of shaded rest areas, water access and restrooms. Numerous other parks and outdoor amenities, including large and small dog parks, a community garden, ball fields, basketball courts and tot lots, will provide year-round recreation for residents.

Community amenities at Terramor also include The Terrace Club, which is exclusive for 55+ residents and includes a six-acre recreational area with a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse, resort-style pool with surrounding cabanas, and an extensive fitness center with indoor pool, tennis, bocce ball and pickleball courts. The Veranda, a social center for all Terramor residents, features an outdoor pool with sundecks and a toddler pool with a beach entrance, an outdoor barbecue, and entertainment options for all residents to enjoy, connect and socialize.
