Based out of Dallas, Gehan Homes operates in several markets in the Texas and Arizona areas, including Houston, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Phoenix.
They recently partnered with Sumitomo Forestry America Inc., a Japanese wood products and homebuilding firm which recently purchased a 51 percent stake share of the privately held company. CEO of Gehan Homes Timothy Gehan said they plan to grow with the new company.
“Our new partnership with Sumitomo Forestry will give Gehan Homes added financial strength to take advantage of a growing residential housing market, especially in the area of land acquisition,” Gehan said.
Gehan Homes prides itself on building homes that are customized to their homebuyer’s lifestyle, wants and needs. They get their homebuyers involved in the design process, so that the end result is unique, featuring personalized architectural and interior design details along with modern amenities that would make any new homeowner proud to call their new purchase home.
Gehan makes this possible through their design center. Once the purchase agreement is finished and signed, new homeowners make an appointment at the design center, where the selections that will complete their dream home begin. A personal design consultant is made available to help new homebuyers along the way with choices like paint colors, tile samples and fabric swatches—all of the small details that help create a personalized style for each individual Gehan home.
A huge builder in the state of Texas, Gehan builds more than 300 homes within the state every year, and Gehan is looking to grow with the influx that state has seen recently in its population. For example, Gehan has several new communities available in Austin, one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. One community, located just south of Austin, is called the Meadows at Buda. It offers homes that start in the low $200,000 range in a community with amenities like a pool, a playground and nearby trails for walking. Another Austin community caters more to the homebuyer looking for a large luxury home, with Gehan’s community View at Steiner Ranch.
Located inside the Austin community of Steiner Ranch, homeowners can enjoy panoramic views of the Texas Hill Country, Lake Travis and Lake Austin, as well as a highly acclaimed school district. Home prices in that community are in the $480,000- $510,000 range but give home owners up to five bedrooms and plenty of ample living space.
