Sustainability. This is a term that we’ve constantly heard over the past few years. Each one of us has contributed to sustainability in ways we probably are not aware of. For example, using recycled paper or printing on the clean face of a used bond paper, is, in fact, an act of sustainability. When we talk about Green Architecture, sustainability is at the core. At the start of a project, whether it is building a single home or an entire community, sustainability should be implemented not only at the beginning of the construction process but also at the end. There are ways to recycle construction waste – bringing wood, steel, nails, earth, etc., to the appropriate recycling companies. To make sure that this is done by the contractor, a waste management plan should be strictly implemented. During construction, waste management should be monitored.
