On June 9th, 2017, state representative Mike Carroll and other local officials were present to break ground on an exciting new project for the area: an $11.3 million Academy II Senior Housing project.
The complex will have 48 units are to be renovated from the Academy Street School and Academy Gardens. The mixed-income, multi-generational campus is conveniently located near downtown Moscow.
“Moscow is a wonderful place to live and this project will allow many North Pocono residents to continue to remain in the community they proudly call home,” Carroll said. “Future residents of this project will be the beneficiary of living in close proximity to a vibrant Main Street, in a safe neighborhood and in a borough with outstanding community leaders.”
