It’s been a long time coming, but Buffalo’s housing market is booming. The Washington Post created an interactive website that places Erie County and Buffalo at the top of the list for increased property values. Job growth and an improved economy have helped the area’s values rise. “We’ve always been a very affordable area. So when we’ve been compared to other large cities in the past, we didn’t seem to fair very well. Now with the economic growth and everything that’s taking place in all areas of the city, we are starting to see some really great appreciation,” said Barry Chubb, Coldwell Banker Chubb Real Estate President.
