The accomplished panel of experts shared insider insights on the latest in the multifamily housing market, innovations and trends, and must-haves in interior design.

Keynote speakers included the President of HPA, Greg Faulkner, HPA’s Chief Innovation Officer, Walter Hughes, and the President of HPA Design Group, Chelsea Dora-Shibley. Guest speakers Carl Whitaker, the Director of Research & Analysis at Real Page, Inc., provided updates on the current state of the apartment market and key market themes throughout the region, and Caitlin Walter, the Vice President of Research at the National Multifamily Housing Council, shared economic impacts to consider for future developments.

Hot topics discussed include the rising cost of construction and creative ways to counteract the effects of the economy. Faulkner showcased HPA’s top projects delivered in 2021 and shared the latest trend of redesigning old mall sites into mixed-use multifamily developments. Hughes introduced brand-new prototypes that maximize efficiency while incorporating attractive elevations, and Dora-Shibley highlighted luxury amenity trends and integration of technology to stay competitive in the market.
