Meritage homes has been in relentless pursuit of building better and more sustainable homes over the last decade, implementing features such as spray foam insulation to maintain the indoor air quality, ENERGY STAR® appliances, low-e windows, sealed ducts, multi-speed HVACs and more. “We will continue to work tirelessly to provide the best in designer-curated trends and home innovation that will help to deliver beautiful homes for our buyers,” said Meritage Homes Chief Executive officer Philippe Lorde.

Furthering this recognition, the builder has completed over 126,000 ENERGY STAR-certified homes since it made the commitment to building 100% energy-efficient homes in 2009.

The homebuilder targets millennials and Gen Z buyers who are likely first-time homebuyers, as well as move-down baby boomers. The company does this by focusing its product on affordability and a quick move-in timeline, coupled with a flexible homebuying process.
