Nashville is set to be the hottest housing market in the United States in 2017. That’s the predication from top real estate website, Zillow.com, which has named 2017’s 10 hottest housing markets. Seattle, Orlando and Denver also make the top 10 along with three Utah markets, Provo, Salt Lake City and Ogden. Portland, Knoxville and Sacramento are also in the list, which takes into account forecasted home appreciation, income growth and the unemployment rate. Prices in Nashville are expected to rise 4.3% in 2017. Orlando has the highest projected price rise at 5.7%. Nationally, Zillow expects home values to appreciate 3% over the next year. Nashville has moved beyond its country music roots to become a major healthcare employment centre, helping drive the metro to the top of Zillow’s list.
