The Coronavirus pandemic has had an effect of all first-time homebuyers and their decision for when and if to buy. A new study from OJO Labs discussed in Forbes shows the bigger picture of what perspective buyers are thinking.
Eighty percent have delayed their search for a new home, or have stopped altogether. Sixty percent of those surveyed said that their future employment prospects were a concern, and just over half said that not seeing homes in person was causing their delay in buying property. However, the numbers still show some hope from buyers. Roughly a quarter of those surveyed are still looking at listings and going on virtual tours, and 30 percent reported that they are looking through listings more now than before the pandemic started.
