Oakwood to consider 84-unit affordable housing apartment complex

Gary Hammond Jr. of Sandy Springs-based Landbridge Acquisitions said he heard from only one resident at an April meeting held by Landbridge to explain the project, which calls for the $12.2 million Peaks of Oakwood complex to be built on nearly 9 acres off Osborn Road near Blackshear Place Baptist Church. “That (meeting) was an effort to engage the community and gather comments, but only one property owner showed up,” he said. And City Manager Stan Brown said he likewise has only heard from one resident.
