Trendmaker Homes Debuts New 30-Site Section at Palmera Ridge, a Master-Planned Community in North Austin

LEANDER, Texas (February 5, 2019) Trendmaker Homes, a member of the TRI Pointe Group (NYSE:TPH), announced the grand opening of a new residential community at Palmera Ridge, a 426-acre master-planned community located in the North Austin metro city of Leander. Trendmaker is building 30 single-family homes on 50’ lots on the site of the former Kitty Hill Airport in Williamson County. Sales and daily model home touring will kick off Saturday, February 9. To mark the occasion, a public grand opening celebration, benefiting Austin Pets Alive, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with The Hot Dog King food truck, pet-friendly activities and giveaways.

The homes’ exteriors will feature materials inspired by and complementary to the natural Hill Country setting and will offer three open floor plans, each with three elevations. Ranging in size from 1,601 square feet to 2,550 square feet, the one- and two-story homes include 3 bedrooms, 2 to 4 bathrooms and 2-car garages. Prices start from the high $200,000s.

“We are very excited to be offering our quality homes in such a stand-out metro as Austin and in association with the well-located, highly regarded Hanna/Magee master-planned community that is Palmera Ridge,” said Terry Shuffler, Vice President and General Manager at Trendmaker Homes Austin. “The community is not only connected to nature through numerous pocket parks, hiking trails and preserves, but also to great opportunity, as residents will benefit from the highly desirable Leander Independent School District and nearby shopping and dining, major employment centers, and healthcare providers. There will be a lot to like for first-time buyers and move-up buyers as well as move-down empty nesters.”

Special home options include gourmet kitchen layouts, double ovens, extended patios and outdoor kitchens. Inspired by the Austin hill country, Trendmaker will use native Texas plants/shrubs in its landscaping, including a drought tolerant grass. As part of Trendmaker’s HomeSmart® program, each home will supply the comfort, security and Wi-Fi connectivity residents need to control many of their home features with just the swipe of a smartphone or a spoken command. Activated and supported by Amazon, the HomeSmart package includes Echo devices and HomeSmart products that work with Alexa to create seamless living.

Located close to the high-growth Ronald Reagan Boulevard corridor and just minutes from 183-A and FM 1431, Palmera Ridge offers easy access to the San Gabriel Riverfront and seven other city parks as well as Cedar Park Center and Northwest Austin. Dell, Visa, Samsung, and Google, as well as various medical employers, have campuses nearby. A new elementary school planned for an adjacent master-planned phase is certain to have a big community impact.

When completed, Palmera Ridge will feature approximately 1,000 homes by various builders, and community amenities will include a state-of-the-art activity center, community pool, parks and wet ponds. Trendmaker Homes anticipates initial move-ins to its new section in Spring 2019.
