Tri Pointe Homes Starts Construction on Park Central, A 447-Home Planned Community in the North Austin Metro

The homebuilder’s Austin division will debut its first-ever duplex product line in the country’s fastest-growing city

AUSTIN, Texas – Tri Pointe Homes® has announced the groundbreaking for Park Central, a new 447-home community located in Georgetown, Texas. The homebuilder’s first self-developed community in the high-growth area north of Texas’ capital city will offer 191 single-family residences and 256 duplex units upon completion.

Homes at Park Central will range from approximately 1,728 to 2,969 square feet with 3 to 5 bedrooms, 2 to 3.5 baths and 2-bay garages. The Arbor and Park single-family collections, which are situated on 45’ and 50’ homesites respectively, and the brand-new duplex offerings all feature spacious great rooms with an abundance of windows and natural light, oversized covered outdoor living spaces, large kitchens with islands and walk-in closets. Select home designs also include other features such as a beautiful, curved staircase and 20-foot ceilings over the dining area, a flex space, game room, or office.

“Designing our first-ever attached product for the Austin market was a very fun and fulfilling process,” Havel said. “For the ‘dream duplex’ we worked with our in-house architect along with third-party design firm to create a home specifically for our market and our buyer profile. For instance, we have designed the duplexes with two-car garages, which is an important feature for our buyers and one that is not easy to find. Our goal was to offer an affordable product that does not sacrifice the design and lifestyle elements that Tri Pointe is known for and we believe we have achieved that with these exceptional homes.” 

As part of Tri Pointe Homes’ LivingSmart® program, all homes at Park Central will be designed to exceed local energy codes and enhanced with money-saving, energy-efficient features throughout. New materials, technologies and features are constantly being incorporated into the program, which consists of HealthSmart®, EnergySmart®, EarthSmart®, WaterSmart® and HomeSmart®. 

Proposed amenities at Park Central include a centrally located amenity center with a clubhouse and pool, a 10-acre park with walking trails, a large pond, a hammock park, basketball and pickleball courts, trike track and an open-air pavilion with shaded areas and picnic tables. 

Ideally situated between State Highway 130 and I-35 in Southeast Georgetown, the 77.8-acre community allows quick access to Austin. It is also just a five-to-ten-minute drive to the popular shopping and dining choices at Wolf Ranch Center and from Georgetown Square, known as the “Most Beautiful Square in Texas.” The community is also located within the Georgetown Independent School District, which includes James Mitchell Elementary School and George Wagner Middle School less than two miles away. 

Construction on the community is anticipated to be complete middle of next year with the grand opening anticipated for third quarter 2024.
