Village Approves Rezoning for 40-Unit Town Home Project

While high-density development has been a hot topic in the campaign for the Pinehurst Village Council, a rezoning for a 40-unit town home project sailed through Tuesday with no public opposition. The council unanimously approved the rezoning for the Royal Oaks development that will be built on 8.45 acres. Also during the meeting, the council voted unanimously to adopt a capital project fund ordinance for a $4 million community center and to transfer $344,000 included in the budget this fiscal year to pay for design work into the fund.
