Wickenburg Ranch Announces Grand Opening Season With Launch of New Homes and New Neighborhoods At the High-Demand Lifestyle Resort Community

The Arizona desert hideaway continues to draw buyers from across the country with the introduction of two new home collections and a model home park featuring nine new models

WICKENBURG, ARIZ. (March 17, 2021) – Wickenburg Ranch, a Trilogy® resort community in the Sonoran Desert foothills, announced today the kick-off of its grand opening season. Located one hour northwest from Phoenix, the master-planned lifestyle community is now selling in its new Palomino and Iron Horse neighborhoods, with additional new homes available for purchase in the community’s pre-existing neighborhoods. This latest phase of new homes brings Wickenburg Ranch another step closer to completing its 1,600-home community. With home sales currently surpassing projections and numerous showings taking place every day, the grand opening season is creating more reason for prospective buyers to visit the community and explore the available options.

To mark the grand opening season, Shea Homes® is debuting its nine new homes to complete the model village showcasing 12 model homes. Prospective buyers can enjoy the best of Wickenburg Ranch every day now through April 18, including VIP model home tours, complimentary lunch or happy hour, live entertainment, and various member activities and events.

“We’ve spent years conducting consumer research, which is one of the many reasons we feel confident the newest homes at Wickenburg Ranch are what homebuyers want right now,” said Jeff McQueen,

president of the Shea Homes Active Lifestyle division. “With its rich mix of quality, possibility, connection and wellness, the resort community continues to demonstrate our successful formula that it’s not about merely finding a place to live, but rather finding ways to enrich your life every day with neighbors who quickly become friends. While Wickenburg Ranch is not exclusively a 55+ community, it has become a natural draw for buyers of all ages, and we anticipate a continued rise in Boomer residents now that we have more diversified home offerings than ever before. Home ownership in this desert oasis has never been so desirable and accessible.”

The new single-story homes in the new Shea Homes collections at Wickenburg Ranch will start in the high $200,000s, offering features, per plan, such as expansive and well thought out primary suites, entertaining kitchens, oversized patios and large windows. As the community’s first duplex product, the new Resort Collection includes thoughtfully designed attached homes in three floor plans ranging from approximately 1,340 square feet to 1,680 square feet, including two bedrooms, an office or den, two to 2.5 baths, and two-car garages. The new Freedom Collection is comprised of single-family homes offering three open and casual floor plans to choose from ranging between 1,500 square feet and 1,810 square feet, with two to three bedrooms, two to 2.5 baths, two-car garages and an office or den space depending on the floor plan. The design for both new collections is inspired by Spanish Mediterranean, western, and modern architecture with clean styling, natural stone, wood and iron.

The nine new model homes by Shea Homes feature home designs from the new Resort and Freedom collections as well as the popular Vista, Ranch and Sky collections. Dorn Homes, another trusted builder at Wickenburg Ranch, has five home plans in The Estate Series with three models to tour in the model village.

New residents to Wickenburg Ranch – many of whom are coming from densely populated areas of California, Colorado, the Pacific Northwest and other parts of Arizona – are attracted to the lifestyle community because it combines the best of small-town charm with big city convenience. The shift from larger cities to more rural areas is a trend that’s been thoroughly studied in 20201, and Wickenburg Ranch has quickly become a haven for Boomers who are leading that migration.

“Wickenburg Ranch is a testament to the quality of the community and confirms what you see and feel when first arriving. Multiple showings are booked daily with an average of one or more homes sold per day,” said Chris Haines, president of VT Land Group, the master-planned community developer. “People can’t help but feel inspired and invigorated by the beautiful surrounding desert terrain and fresh air. With each day spent here, Wickenburg Ranch continues to impress as you discover the quality social connections and all of the possibilities that the resort-style amenities and activities afford.”

Upon completion, Wickenburg Ranch is planned to include 1,600 homes across 800 acres of serene desert landscape. Each of Shea Homes’ offerings feature single-story living averaging from 1,300 square feet to over 3,000 square feet and include SheaConnect, a suite of smart home products offering energy efficiency and the convenience of managing much of your home from your smart device, all standard in the home. All Dorn Homes feature single-story living averaging 1,630 square feet to 2,580 square feet and include its Organic Home Plus, a holistic system with state-of-the-art features dedicated to building healthy homes with energy efficiency and optimal ventilation.

The gated master-planned community includes two golf courses operated and managed by Troon®: the 18-hole championship course Big Wick, voted number one in Arizona for Course Conditions by Golf Advisor, and the award-winning 9-hole entertainment course Lil’ Wick. The latter features illuminated holes for nighttime rounds, music, a bar and grill with outdoor seating and more. Additional resort-style amenities at Wickenburg Ranch include a 32,000-square-foot clubhouse with a full-service spa, fitness center, art barn, grand living room, five restaurants and golf pro shop. While the restaurants are open, and expansive patios allow for outdoor dining, curbside pick-up dining is also available, offering the same level of hospitality to serve members during physical distancing measures.

Interested customers can call (833) 529-0717 to make a VIP appointment for an uninterrupted tour of the nine new Shea Homes model homes and Dorn Homes models (limit of 8 people per model home) and take part in the Wickenburg Ranch grand opening season festivities. Please visit
