City Ventures Celebrates Opening of New Rosewood Village Community

– Rosewood Village and its model homes opened officially with a ribbon cutting and street sign unveiling ceremony to commemorate the milestone.

City Ventures, California’s leading builder of eco-friendly, solar, all-electric homes, has announced the official opening of Rosewood Village, a new neighborhood of 31 homes in Commerce, California. To commemorate the neighborhood’s formal introduction, Mayor Oralia Rebello joined the City Ventures team alongside additional special guests – the family members of 95-year-old Mrs. Valentina “Val” Bassett, co-founder of the City of Commerce – for a special community event. City Ventures extended its traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony to include a special unveiling of “Valentina Way,” a neighborhood street sign in Rosewood Village named after Mrs. Bassett to honor her 56 years of advocacy and tireless service to the city. This recognition follows Mrs. Bassett’s 2022 acceptance of the Key to the City from the City of Commerce, the highest honor the City can present to an individual.

The community’s solar-powered, all-electric townhomes present spacious, three-story floor plans that range from approximately 1,263 to 1,554 square feet.

“City of Commerce has a rich past – and we are elated to be part of its vibrant future with the addition of Rosewood Village,” said Natasha Zabaneh, President of City Ventures. “Since 1960, Mrs. Bassett’s incredible efforts to make Commerce ‘the Model City’ have positively impacted the entire community, and we are deeply honored to include her namesake as a representation of the city’s successes and continued growth. Valentina Way is a reminder of our history, and a symbol of what is yet to come.”

Situated in a prime location just minutes away from Downtown Los Angeles and adjacent to Rosewood Park and Library, Rosewood Village offers a unique mix of big-city energy and peaceful nature vibes. The community’s solar-powered, all-electric townhomes present spacious, three-story floor plans that range from approximately 1,263 to 1,554 square feet. Homes offer 3-4 bedrooms, 3-4 baths and attached two-car garages with modern, tasteful finishes throughout. The community offers many open-air amenities, including a covered outdoor dining area, barbecue, and lounge seating, ideal for get-togethers and celebrations. The official launch of Rosewood Village includes the release of its final home for sale, the Model Home – a Plan 1 with 3 Bedrooms and 3 Baths, selling now for $709,990.

“New housing helps cities stay vibrant,” said Ryan Aeh, Senior Vice President of City Ventures. “It was a privilege to work with the city – it takes true partnership to bring these communities to fruition. Overall, we have three phases that encompass 133 homes and will bring over 80 million dollars investment to the community.”

City Ventures has had almost 500 solar-powered homes under construction at 12 different communities throughout Southern California the past few years. Since 2010, they have sold more than 4,300 homes in California. Currently, City Ventures is building two additional communities in the immediate area, with the goal to bring 37 many more new homes to Commerce between 2023-2024.

“Rosewood Village is so much more than a new neighborhood – it’s an opportunity to bring new opportunities for the City of Commerce in a supply-constrained housing market,” added Zabaneh.

Homes offer 3-4 bedrooms, 3-4 baths and attached two-car garages with modern, tasteful finishes throughout.
